Wire Whip
With the availability of large swaging machines and the introduction of the Pressure Equipment Directive wire whip is now considered to be “old” technology. However wire whipped assemblies are still available.
Using galvanised steel wire we are able to offer this service from 1.1/2” id up to 6” with numerous end connections such as Flanges, Unicones & Bauers.

To ensure the integrity of the wire whip, the entire length of the wire whip is soldered as shown in the image right. Due to the fixed dimension of the jaws of the machine we are limited to a maximum hose id of 6”. It is normal for there to be approx 1” length of wire whip per 1” of diameter of hose. E.g a 4” water suction hose would generally have 4” of wire whip at each end . We can also offer a refit service to free issue hose and couplings if required.
