With the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) concentrating the minds of manufacturers and customers alike on hose assemblies that are 'fit for purpose', allied to the Dura Hose commitment to supply only quality products we have invested in a fully-portable, mains power operated, hydrostatic, hose assembly test rig, with calibrated gauges, capable of operating at pressures of up to 100 bar, to assist us in our task.

Hydrostatic Pressure Testing, (along with electrical continuity testing, where applicable) is normally carried out on request. Most of the assembly work undertaken by Dura Hose falls within the parameters of Sound Engineering Practice (SEP), where pressure tests are not necessary for compliance.

The test rig, allows us to test assemblies and therefore help ensure that the quality of Dura products is maintained. It also ensures that we can identify any shortcomings in traditionally-used assembly construction methods and, more importantly, offer alternative solutions, as appropriate.  One of the developments directly attributable to this process, has been the introduction of swaged, serrated tail Bauer inserts for use at 10 bar working pressure in sizes up to & including 6" bore.

Third party inspections, (witnessed by inspectors from Lloyd's, DNV, etc), along with on site test & inspection services, are also available. Contact our sales team with your requirements.  We will be pleased to quote.
